Toho 30cm series Yuji Sakai Modeling collection Godzilla(2016) 4th form Awakening Version (Shonen RIC Exclusive)
In 2017, Sakai Yuji Zokei Kobo announced Yuji Sakai’s new work and masterpiece, “30cm Godzilla 2016,” and released it as a garage kit sometime after. Following this in 2019 was his “Godzilla (2016) 4th Form Awakening Version,” which he also modeled as a garage kit in response to the incredibly positive reaction from many fans. These events have brought us to now, where we are happy to announce that a fully colored and complete soft vinyl version of this model will be released, and, what’s more, it uses the same exact mold as its predecessor!
Sakai has masterfully recreated the epic scene that moviegoers witnessed towards the end of Shin Godzilla (released in 2016), where Godzilla unleashes heat rays from both its mouth and tail while being slammed by an air strike during Operation Yashinori. Every detail on every part has been carefully sculpted, from the large arching tail to the awakened form’s signature gaping jaw, appearing as if it were torn open on both sides. This version achieves such a level of completeness that one could say that this one scene was taken straight from the movie and brought into reality, and we hope that you enjoy both the powerful presence and beauty of this piece by Sakai.
The Shonen RIC Exclusive comes with light-up functionality, letting you light up its mouth, neck, and dorsal plates when you switch on the included power unit (which requires 4 AAA batteries sold separately). Additionally, you can enjoy the awesome relay lighting action as light cycles between the dorsal plates and tip of the tail, truly making you feel like you’re standing before Godzilla from the movie as it unleashes its heat rays.
Additionally, we have converted Sakai’s cast prototype to wax and produced a master mold.
All products are molded exclusively from this master mold, and we’ve focused on both minimizing wear and tear as well as reproducing as much detail as possible by utilizing soft vinyl material.
